Originally from Hershey, Pennsylvania, Erin Wells Corrigan started her studies at Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) where she fell in love with clay. Working with HACC she created an exchange program with the world renowned Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute and entered classes at JCI as their first western exchange student. From Jingdezhen she transferred to NSCAD University and completed a BA in Fine Art: Ceramics. She then moved to Montreal to participate in an artist in residence program at Studio Alexandrea before apprenticing under figurative sculptor Joel A Prevost for 2 years while teaching classes and workshops.
Erin now lives and makes pots in Dartmouth and instructs at the North Preston Community Studio.
